Piper's Kilt - Eastchester
433 White Plains Road
This family-friendly tavern famous for their burgers has been a staple in Eastchester for decades. The bustling atmosphere is ideal for kids and the menu offers lots to keep them happy and full while adults enjoy a beer while catching a game. You'll find quick service (and abundance of high chairs), making Piper's Kilt a great choice for the kiddos.

Blue Moon - Bronxville
7 Pondfield Road #27
Blue Moon offers awesome Mexican food with an ambiance kids love. Everything from the music to the bright, cheerfully decorated walls creates a festive and pleasing dining experience and the kid’s menu offers an abundance of delicious choices (including grilled cheese and other non-Mexican dishes--great for picky eaters). Blue Moon also hosts several kid-friendly holiday themed events throughout the year and throws great kids birthday parties. Ole!

Ciao Restaurant - Eastchester
5 John R Albanese Place
Upon entering Ciao you'll find kids gathered and gazing through the glass window at Ciao watching the "pizza man" throw the dough sky high and create their delicious pies. The wait staff is happy to supply the little ones with pieces of dough of their own and have even been known to provide an up close and personal view of the magic pizza making in the actual kitchen. Their penne vodka is a local favorite and the rest of the menu is just as tasty. Be sure to make a reservation since Ciao gets pretty busy and we all know how delightful and patient hungry children can be.

Pete's Park Place Tavern - Bronxville
18-20 Park Place
Come to this neighborhood restaurant for great food, quick and friendly service and vibrant, fun atmosphere. Diners rave about the burgers served on English muffins and the incredible shoestring fries served with a special house sauce. Added bonus--kids eat free on Tuesday nights (4:30-8pm). How's that for kid friendly?

Roma Restaurant - Tuckahoe
29 Columbus Avenue
Famous for their thin crust brick oven pizza, this Italian restaurant has been cooking for families (including my own back when I was a Westchester kid) for over 83 years. Kids love their meatballs and relaxed environment while adults revel in the delicious food and appreciate the reasonably priced child size portions. For a real family friendly meal, Roma can't be beat.

And for dessert...

Pane & Gelato - Eastchester
290 White Plains Road
Diners can choose from over 24 creamy, delicious gelato flavors at Pane & Gelato. In addition to their cold confections, this authentic Italian gelateria is also a bakery offering mouthwatering pastries, cookies and cakes, most of which are imported from Sicily.

Swirl N Joy - Tuckahoe
30 Columbus Avenue
Between the 12 flavors of frozen yogurt and over 50 topping choices, you might be overwhelmed in the best way possible. Kids love to create their own edible masterpiece at the toppings bar. If you're looking for other options, Swirl N Joy also offers delicious smoothies, freshly baked cupcakes, cookies and crepes. Be sure to get a rewards card--after nine items, the tenth is free. What a sweet deal!
