3/25/15 - By Susan Miele

Welcome spring! Many of this weekend's events celebrate Easter including a breakfast with the Easter Bunny, a holiday spring celebration and an egg hunt. Whether you observe Easter or not, kids will likely enjoy learning all about bunnies.

Also this weekend, there are three exciting stage performances: The Ugly Duckling and the Tortoise and the Hare, The Greatest Pirate Story (N)EVER Told! and Disney Live! Presents Three Classic Fairy Tales, as well as an intriguing film called The Boy and the World. Plus, the annual WHUD Kids Fair returns to Westchester for its 20th anniversary!

Remember, our Event Calendar features many other events, including nature, science and art programs.

BEYOND WESTCHESTER

Continuing on the Easter theme, two events beyond our county’s border offer alternative approaches to celebrating the holiday.

In Manhattan, the Easter Eggstravaganza Children's Art Workshop gives kids the chance to get artsy with egg decorating, using assorted craft materials to decorate them and to build a nest to house them.

In Stamford, kids can enjoy a FREE cooking class at Junior Chef Cooking Classes at Williams Sonoma (Stamford) with the menu focusing on—what else?—eggs!
