Beyond Westchester

A few nautical-themed events beyond our borders this weekend are worth a gander!

Spend the day on Governors Island for City of Water Day, featuring an ocean of fun water activities for families, including free ferry rides, boat rides, and hundreds of waterfront activities. Reserve boat rides in advance. Also on Saturday on Governor’s Island is the 10th annual Come Out & Play Family Day, where families can participate in multiple interconnecting games themed around time travel. It, too, is FREE.

If New Jersey is on your agenda, take a jaunt to the Wooden Boat Festival, featuring antique and classic boats, model boats (to build and sail), maritime crafts, pirate shows and more.

Don't forget--there are more ideas for fun family outings in our Events Calendar.
