Weekend Fun for Westchester Kids: SpringFest, Pinkalicious & Teen Night April 11-12

4/8/15 - By Susan Miele

Regardless of what the weather brings to Westchester this weekend, we’ve got a great lineup of family activities to keep you entertained!

Spring is in the air at the annual Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival and SpringFest Street Fair, two of many upcoming seasonal fetes in the Hudson Valley.

Younger kids can enjoy indoor performances, such as Pinkalicious the Musical and the B.Y.O.K. (Bring Your Own Kids) Concert Series. Meanwhile, older kids can try the Hudson River Museum's all-new Teen Night or the Book-to-Movie Adaptation Series at the Mamaroneck Public Library.

Also, don’t miss Opening Day at the Science Barge or Chappaqua's It’s a Beautiful Day in Our Neighborhood, which both have tons of FREE activities.

These are just some of the activities we’ve culled from our Event Calendar. Check it out for even more options, and also consult our April GoList for our top picks for the whole month.

BEYOND WESTCHESTER

For high-voltage entertainment, check out Catch Me--a circus-type performance from Quebec featuring aerial acts, acrobatics, juggling, diablo and—get this—a “trampowall.”

It's hard to believe carnival season is here, but it’s true, and the Children's Carnival in Queens is offering all the usual trappings, like carnival rides, games, hayrides and children's entertainment—on the setting of a farm.

Don’t forget to check out our Event Calendar for even more fun happening throughout Westchester!
