Maple Saturday at Lenoir Preserve
Sat Mar 16, 2024
12:00pm to 2:00pm ET
Age: All ages
Price: Free
Sweeten your Saturday with this free maple sugaring event at Lenoir Preserve. Throughout the day, naturalists demonstrate traditional and modern methods of making maple syrup. Taste testers are welcome to try samples and attempt to tell the difference between real maple syrup and fake maple syrup.
Attendees get to see how trees are tapped and how the sap is collected and boiled down.
If the weather allows, guests will be in for an even sweeter treat of "sugar on snow," during which maple sap is poured on snow and served as a candy.
Enjoy an optional pancake lunch for $5.
