Why Hotels with Bunk Beds Are a Game-Changer for Families

Traveling with kids always presents a unique set of challenges, but bunk bed rooms ensure that when it comes to bedtime, everyone has their own personal space. Many of the rooms listed below sleep at least four, saving you on booking multiple hotel rooms at premium NYC prices, though some can be booked in tandem to give your family a suite-like setup for your stay.

What to Look for in a Family Hotel Room with Bunk Beds

Before booking one of these family-friendly bunk bed rooms in NYC, think about your family's needs. Will you be OK sleeping in one single room, or do you prefer to have a little separation from your kids and their bunk beds? Ditto for how many bathrooms you'll need to stay comfortable—if you need more than one restroom, you're better off booking a bunk bed room that connects to a separate suite or room for the adults.

If you've never stayed in an NYC hotel room before, take note: Space is at a premium everywhere in this city, so it's likely that a standard hotel room here is going to be smaller than your average hotel room. If you need more space, booking multiple connecting rooms is the way to go.

Choose from rooms with two twin bunks or a mini-suite that sleeps four between a queen-sized bed and a pair of bunks. Enjoy fun-and-funky communal spaces like a rooftop deck.
