Why Splash Pads Are a Great Summer Outing for Kids
Orlando splash pads and spraygrounds make the perfect summer respite for kids because of the easy accessibility, cheap entry (many of which are FREE), and inclusivity for all ages. Kids who can't yet swim, or aren't the strongest swimmers, still get to have a wet and wild day at the splash pad.
Make the Most of Your Splash Pad Outing
Before you leave the house, make sure to pack the proper gear for the perfect splashy day. The No. 1 item to pack (besides a swimsuit) for kids and adults are water shoes! Protect feet and avoid unnecessary slips with rubber-soled water shoes that offer needed traction. Flip flops can be too flimsy and sneakers can't go in water, so definitely invest in a good pair of water shoes (we love lightweight, hybrid sandals with a reinforced toe). In addition to water shoes, bring sunscreen, towels, hats, and a change of clothes if you want to visit adjoining playgrounds or go out to lunch. Again, the great thing with hybrid sandals is that you can wear them in both wet and dry climates for the entire day.
